Adjunct Instructor – Political Science (Part‑time)

About the role

Texas A&M University – Texarkana’s College of Arts, Sciences, and Education seeks qualified part‑time adjunct instructors to teach Political Science courses on a per‑semester basis. The position supports core introductory government classes and can be delivered in face‑to‑face, web‑enhanced, hybrid, or fully online formats.

Key responsibilities

• Teach assigned Political Science sections, preparing lectures, assignments, and assessments.
• Grade student work promptly and submit grades in accordance with university deadlines.
• Load course content, including lecture modules and assessments, into the learning management system.
• Maintain regular communication with students, hold office hours, and provide academic support.
• Fulfill additional administrative duties such as meeting census requirements and adhering to grading policies.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Political Science or a closely related field with at least 18 graduate‑level credit hours for undergraduate teaching.
• Doctorate or terminal degree with the same credit requirement for graduate‑level instruction.
• Degree earned from a regionally accredited institution.
• Availability for Fall 2026, Spring 2027, and/or Summer 2026 semesters.
