Adjunct Instructor – Phlebotomy Technician Program

About the role

The State of Georgia, through Athens Technical College, is seeking an Adjunct Instructor to teach the Phlebotomy Technician Program. This part‑time teaching position supports the college’s mission to provide high‑quality allied‑health education to students in Athens, GA.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain familiarity with college goals, mission, and long‑term plans.
• Contribute to curriculum planning and program development.
• Participate in student recruitment and retention activities.
• Attend staff meetings and serve on college committees.
• Evaluate curriculum and instructional activities, using a variety of teaching techniques and media.
• Supervise and instruct students during clinical sessions and assist the clinical coordinator with supply tracking and stocking.

Required profile

• Associate degree in Allied Health or a related field.
• Current certification as a phlebotomist or medical technologist.
• Two years of post‑secondary teaching experience (preferred).
• Ability to deliver presentations using advanced media and online learning applications.
