Adjunct Instructor – Mechanical or Civil Engineering

About the role

The College of Engineering and Computing at Texas A&M University‑Texarkana seeks qualified part‑time adjunct instructors to teach undergraduate Mechanical or Civil Engineering courses on a per‑semester basis.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver course content in face‑to‑face, web‑enhanced, hybrid, or fully online formats.
• Prepare and upload lecture materials, assessments, and other instructional resources.
• Grade student work promptly and submit final grades within required deadlines.
• Maintain course administration, including attendance tracking and meeting census requirements.
• Provide student support through office hours, email, or virtual meetings.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering (or related field) with at least 18 graduate‑level credit hours for undergraduate teaching.
• Doctorate or terminal degree with similar credit requirements for graduate‑level courses.
• Degree earned from a regionally accredited institution.
• Authorization to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship available.
