Adjunct Instructor – Cosmetology (Part‑Time)

About the role

Atlanta Technical College seeks a passionate Adjunct Instructor to teach Cosmetology courses on a part‑time basis. You will deliver theory and hands‑on lab instruction that mirrors current industry standards, while supporting student success from enrollment through graduation.

Key responsibilities

• Teach Cosmetology courses in classroom, lab, and field settings using state‑approved curriculum.
• Develop lesson outlines, lesson plans, and standardized syllabi.
• Evaluate student progress, record learning outcomes, and ensure safety in lab environments.
• Maintain documentation, administrative reports, and compliance with safety requirements.
• Assist with student retention, graduate placement, and industry liaison activities.
• Participate in professional development and measure program learning outcomes.

Required profile

• Demonstrated passion for teaching and commitment to student development.
• Ability to work up to 29 hours per week under the supervision of the Dean and Department Chair.
• Effective communication with a diverse student population.
• Willingness to attend professional‑development training as needed.
