Adjunct Instructor – Aviation

About the role

Atlanta Technical College seeks a knowledgeable Adjunct Instructor to deliver aviation courses on its main campus. You will teach students according to approved syllabi, ensuring alignment with FAA Part 147 standards and college objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver professional instruction in aviation subjects following the approved course syllabus.
• Prepare curriculum materials, lesson plans, and assessments for each course.
• Apply FAA Part 147 regulations and current aviation procedures in the classroom.
• Use effective teaching techniques to engage multiple student groups simultaneously.
• Maintain accurate grade books, testing records, and equipment inventories.
• Advise and counsel students, keeping detailed advisement records.
• Participate in meetings, committees, and recruitment activities as required.
• Enforce institutional policies, FAA compliance requirements, and Technical College System of Georgia guidelines.
• Maintain professional aviation qualifications and perform other duties assigned by the Dean.

Required profile

• Demonstrated knowledge of current aviation procedures.
• Familiarity with FAA regulations governing Part 147 schools.
• Ability to apply testing and grading procedures accurately.
• Strong multitasking skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Commitment to maintaining professional qualifications in the aviation field.
