Adjunct Faculty: Kinesiology

About the role

The Department of Kinesiology at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore seeks qualified adjunct faculty to teach undergraduate courses in Exercise Science and/or Sports Management. This part‑time position involves delivering classroom instruction, developing curriculum, and supporting student success.

Key responsibilities

• Teach a variety of undergraduate courses covering topics such as exercise physiology, sport psychology, sport management, facility management, and related subjects.
• Develop course materials, syllabi, assignments, and assessments aligned with departmental standards.
• Provide academic advising, mentorship, and feedback to a diverse student body.
• Collaborate with full‑time faculty and staff on departmental initiatives and meetings.

Required profile

• Master’s or Ph.D. in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Sports Management, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated commitment to teaching a diverse undergraduate population.

Required skills

• Ability to effectively teach the listed Exercise Science and Sports Management courses.
• Strong communication skills and collegial teamwork.
