Adjunct Faculty – English (Part‑time)

About the role

The State of Georgia is seeking qualified educators to join its General Education Division as Adjunct Faculty in English. This part‑time, non‑benefited position involves delivering composition and literature courses to students at Gwinnett Technical College.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver lectures, activities, and lesson plans for general composition and/or literature courses.
• Evaluate student progress through essays, assignments, discussions, and other assessments.
• Provide timely, thorough feedback on student work and maintain accurate gradebooks.
• Prepare and maintain required documentation and administrative reports.
• Demonstrate commitment, reliability, and adherence to institutional policies.
• Accept direction and feedback from the Program Director and follow through appropriately.

Required profile

• Doctorate or Master’s degree in English or a related discipline, OR a Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate credit hours in the discipline.
• Post‑secondary teaching experience is preferred.
• Ability to operate effectively within the college’s organizational structure.
