Adjunct Faculty – Communication Studies

About the role

The Communication Studies Department at Northeastern University is seeking part‑time adjunct faculty to teach a variety of courses, including Public Speaking, Business and Professional Speaking, Visual Communication, Communication Ethics, Media History, and other related subjects.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality instruction for undergraduate and graduate courses in communication and media studies.
• Develop course materials, assignments, and assessments aligned with departmental standards.
• Engage and support a diverse student body, fostering inclusive learning environments.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Communication or a closely related field (MFA acceptable for production‑focused courses).
• Two or more years of college‑level teaching experience in Communication Studies preferred.
• Ability to work effectively with students of varied academic strengths.
