Adjunct EMT/Paramedic Instructor (Part‑Time)

About the role

Atlanta Technical College seeks a qualified Adjunct Instructor to teach EMT, AEMT, and Paramedic courses on a part‑time basis. The role involves delivering classroom, psychomotor, and clinical instruction to adult learners at the college’s main campus south of downtown Atlanta.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver didactic, psychomotor, and clinical instruction using approved curricula.
• Apply appropriate teaching, testing, and grading techniques and maintain accurate grade books.
• Assess student performance, monitor safety, equipment use, and supply consumption.
• Advise, mentor, and support students in academic and career matters.
• Maintain classrooms, labs, and clinics according to management plans.
• Participate in meetings, professional development, and accreditation activities.
• Assist with student recruitment, job placement, and program compliance.

Required profile

• Current EMT, AEMT, or Paramedic certification.
• Demonstrated ability to teach adult learners and manage classroom environments.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and handle administrative duties for class management.
