Adjunct Economics Instructor

About the role

The State of Georgia, through Central Georgia Technical College, seeks an Adjunct Economics Instructor to deliver associate‑level economics courses. You will design syllabi, lead classroom or online sessions, and support student success across multiple campuses.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver economics instruction in classroom, evening, or online formats.
• Develop syllabi, lesson plans, and program goals aligned with college standards.
• Apply appropriate teaching techniques, testing, and grading procedures while maintaining accurate grade books and records.
• Evaluate student progress, provide feedback, and meet with students and college personnel.
• Complete required reports, invoices, and inventory documentation in a timely manner.
• Mentor and support other adjunct faculty as a lead instructor when needed.
• Travel to campus sites and dual‑enrollment locations as required.

Required profile

• Ability to teach all phases of the economics curriculum under general supervision.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Commitment to professional development and adherence to Technical College System of Georgia policies.
• Eligibility to maintain qualifications as defined by TCSG accreditation standards.
