About the role
The University of Arkansas at Little Rock seeks a qualified Biology Instructor for a nine‑month, non‑tenure‑track appointment. The role involves delivering high‑quality undergraduate biology courses, fostering an engaging learning environment, and supporting departmental initiatives.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver lectures, labs, and discussion sessions in biology.
- Develop and update course materials, syllabi, and assessments.
- Evaluate student performance through exams, assignments, and practical work.
- Provide academic advising and mentorship to students.
- Participate in curriculum development and departmental meetings.
Required profile
- Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Biology or a closely related field, conferred before hire.
- Strong knowledge of biological principles and commitment to staying current with scientific advances.
- Effective communication and teaching skills for undergraduate education.
