Actuation Engineer Intern – Summer 2027

About the role

Moog’s Actuation team within the Military Aircraft Group is looking for a Summer 2027 intern to work onsite in Torrance, CA. The intern will support the development of new products, components, and assemblies, gaining hands‑on experience in aerospace and mechanical engineering.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to conceptual and detailed design of actuation systems.
• Assist in proposal design and part selection for new projects.
• Write technical reports and documentation.
• Provide technical support to senior engineers.
• Participate in project process reviews and strategy discussions.

Required profile

• Enrolled in an accredited Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering Bachelor’s or Master’s program.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 (or as specified by department).
• Ability to relocate to Torrance for the internship duration.
• Professional disposition, effective communication, strong desire to learn, positive attitude, and teamwork orientation.
