Accounts Receivable Specialist

About the role

The University of Arkansas, Fayetteville seeks an Accounts Receivable Specialist to manage the university's receivable functions. This position supports the finance department by ensuring accurate billing, timely collections, and proper recording of all incoming payments.

Key responsibilities

• Process invoices, credit memos, and payment applications.
• Post and reconcile daily cash receipts and electronic payments.
• Maintain accurate accounts receivable records and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare aging reports and assist with month‑end close activities.
• Communicate with internal departments and external customers regarding billing issues.
• Ensure compliance with university policies and applicable regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in accounts receivable or general ledger functions.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
