Accounts Receivable Associate

About the role

Alcon is seeking an Accounts Receivable Associate to join its Surgical Finance and Accounting division in Fort Worth, TX. You will apply accounting principles to analyze financial data, manage collections, and support month‑end close activities while collaborating with internal teams and external customers.

Key responsibilities

• Collect outstanding receivables according to payment terms and resolve invoice disputes.
• Reduce bad‑debt exposure by implementing effective collection strategies and managing aged receivables.
• Monitor customer payment performance, credit risk, and financial health; recommend credit limit adjustments.
• Partner with customers and internal stakeholders to establish payment plans or special credit arrangements.
• Analyze account activity, research credit histories, and prepare reports for credit and collection decisions.
• Support month‑end close, reporting, audits, and compliance initiatives related to credit and accounts receivable.
• Prepare routine and ad‑hoc reports on overdue balances, collection activities, and receivable trends.
• Lead or participate in cross‑functional projects aimed at improving efficiency, reducing risk, and enhancing customer experience.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (or high school + 8 years; Associate + 4 years).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to analyze financial information and make data‑driven decisions.
