Accounts Payable Voucher Examiner

About the role

This temporary position (funded until August 2027) supports the Office of Payables and Receivables within the Bureau of the Comptroller and Global Financial Services. You will review invoice packages, create payment vouchers in the financial system, and ensure all documentation meets accuracy and compliance standards before certification.

Key responsibilities

• Apply relevant regulations and procedures to review and process vouchers and invoices.
• Examine financial documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
• Validate documentation adequacy, regulatory compliance, and justification for payment requests related to goods and services provided to or by the Government.
• Maintain clear status updates and meet certification deadlines.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent (some college preferred).
• 2+ years experience in auditing, financial transactions, customer service, or handling PII.
• Strong organizational, communication, and direction‑following skills.
• Ability to work independently, juggle multiple priorities, and follow brief instructions.

Required skills

• Microsoft Teams, OneNote, Word, Excel (intermediate to advanced), PowerPoint, Outlook.
• ServiceNow or similar ticketing system.
• Microsoft Access.
