Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Accountant to join Arabian Oud’s finance team. The role involves managing the full spectrum of accounting activities for a global retail brand, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and reconcile accounts receivable, including invoicing, payments and collections.
• Process accounts payable, vendor invoices, expense reports and ensure timely payments.
• Reconcile bank statements, handle cash transactions and maintain accurate cash records.
• Oversee intercompany transactions, reconciliations and settlements in line with company policies.
• Maintain the fixed‑asset register, record additions, disposals and depreciation, and conduct periodic physical counts.
• Conduct inventory counts, reconcile records and support accurate reporting.
• Assist in the preparation and review of tax returns and support tax audits.
• Coordinate external and internal audit activities and provide required documentation.
• Perform monthly account reconciliations and support the preparation of financial statements.
• Prepare payroll and handle related HR accounting tasks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• +5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the retail sector.
• CPA or CMA certification preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Oracle E‑Business Suite.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Competence in Microsoft Office applications.
