Accountant I

About the role

We are seeking an Accountant I to join the finance team at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville. The role supports daily accounting operations and contributes to accurate financial reporting for the institution.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update general ledger entries and ensure accuracy of financial data.
• Process invoices, expense reports, and payments in a timely manner.
• Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Support internal and external audit activities by providing required documentation.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper accounting procedures are followed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Eligibility to work in the United States.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
