Account Services Associate

About the role

HD Supply is hiring an Account Services Associate who maintains existing accounts and processes new account applications while keeping customer data accurate and aligned with data governance standards. The role is based in an indoor office setting, with most of the time spent sitting and no travel required.

Key responsibilities

• Provide customer service by phone, email and chat for account updates, new account requests, tax questions, marketing attributes and general inquiries.
• Create and maintain customer account data in SAP, including billing, shipping, contact and purchasing information.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for account-related issues and partner with internal teams to resolve customer concerns.
• Process customer credit applications.
• Validate tax exemption documents, code tax exemptions and concessions on accounts, and correct system-generated tax inaccuracies.
• Investigate undeliverable shipments and update shipping information with carriers and in the master record.
• Maintain quality and departmental metrics.
• Refer complex or unusual problems to the supervisor; work under general supervision following defined policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Generally 2-5 years of experience in the area of responsibility.
• HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred.
• Specialized skills training or certification may be required.
