Account Manager - Material Science

About the role

Brenntag is looking for an Account Manager for Material Science in Bridgewater. Account Managers manage the overall sales effort in their assigned territory, using frequent face-to-face and telephone contact in a consultative approach to meet customer needs, and act on high-potential opportunities with existing customers and new leads.

Key responsibilities

• Customer business development (70%): meet sales objectives, retain customers and improve satisfaction, including through digital channels; identify cross- and range-selling opportunities and set growth plans with the Sales Manager
• Conduct customer visits, prepare meetings, negotiate and close proposals, and manage spot business and rush offers
• New customer generation (10%): identify and prioritize prospects, nurture leads and launch sales projects with other departments
• Sales and general admin (15%): set prices within value-based guidelines, maintain CRM records and opportunity pipelines, run sales and revenue reporting, and forecast product demand
• Know-how management (5% to be): keep up to date on product portfolio, market changes, feedstock and upstream developments affecting product prices

Required profile

• Preferably post-secondary education in Business, Science or equivalent
• 3 to 5 years of sales experience, preferably in the chemical distribution business
