Account Manager – Fire Protection Solutions

About the role

The Hiller Companies is seeking an Account Manager to drive new business and expand market share in fire alarm, sprinkler, and suppression solutions. This role blends technical knowledge of fire protection systems with strong sales acumen to support the company’s growth strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the assigned territory.
• Conduct market research to understand customer needs, industry trends, and competitor offerings.
• Generate leads through networking, cold calling, referrals, and other sales strategies.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
• Visit sites, review inspection reports, assess fire protection needs, and propose appropriate solutions.
• Prepare technical scope of work proposals, presentations, and cost reviews.
• Ensure smooth hand‑off from sales to operations and monitor project progress.
• Provide technical expertise on fire protection equipment and regulatory compliance.
• Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and analyses for management.

Required profile

• Proven experience in owner‑direct sales, preferably within the fire protection or related technical market.
• Understanding of plan and specification processes and disciplined account management.
• Ability to navigate competitive bid processes and consult customers on service solutions.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
