Account Manager (Contract) - Duolingo Ads

About the role

Duolingo is building its direct ad business, Duolingo Ads, and wants to improve the free, ad-supported experience of its app used by over 150 million users a month. It is seeking an Account Manager contractor for a 3 to 6 month engagement (10-20 hours per week) supporting assigned advertising campaigns from kickoff through close, and delivering RFP responses and media plans for assigned sales opportunities. The role reports to the Account Management Lead.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the day-to-day point of contact for assigned campaigns, from kickoff through close
• Deliver a program timeline and kickoff materials for each campaign
• Coordinate with internal ads teams to launch campaigns on schedule
• Partner with Ad Ops to QA and launch campaigns, and deliver client pacing and performance updates while they are live
• Enter and maintain insertion orders and media plans in internal sales systems
• Deliver RFP responses and media plans, including video and native/custom ad formats
• Deliver in-campaign optimization and incremental-spend recommendations
• Deliver a recap at close covering results, learnings and insights

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in account management
• Client-facing background at a tech company, publisher or agency managing brand partnerships, creative development or buying
• Track record of cross-team collaboration and project management with high campaign volumes
• Built media plans across spend levels, including video and native/custom ad formats
• Strong understanding of ad tech and mobile app ecosystems
• Experience monitoring and reporting on performance with data
