Account Manager – Commercial Insurance (Remote, US Eastern/Central)

About the role

IOA is seeking a remote Account Manager to oversee a book of commercial insurance accounts, primarily in the construction and property sectors. The role supports both account retention and new business development while providing high‑level service during transition and growth periods.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain technical competence and industry expertise in commercial lines.
• Lead daily activities of the account management team.
• Handle customer service requests, policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
• Manage policy expirations, renewals, and the renewal submission process.
• Monitor accounts receivable, collect delinquent balances, and ensure timely payments.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms with accurate data.
• Track activity and suspense items to meet deadlines.
• Communicate workload status and issues transparently to the team.
• Deliver proactive, high‑quality service and uphold company policies.

Required profile

• 3+ years of account management experience or 5+ years in the insurance industry.
• Active Property & Casualty (P&C) license; professional designation (CIC) preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
• Excellent customer service, communication, multitasking and organizational skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
