Account Manager – Beauty Care Solutions

About the role

Join BASF’s Care Chemicals division as an Account Manager for Beauty Care Solutions. You will act as the primary liaison between BASF and key customers in the cosmetics and personal‑care space, translating market needs into innovative active‑ingredient solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and nurture strategic relationships with beauty‑care customers, serving as the main technical and commercial interface.
• Define and execute account strategies, including growth roadmaps, innovation pipelines, and value‑creation initiatives.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and commercial terms while ensuring smooth Order‑to‑Cash processes.
• Identify, qualify, and drive new business opportunities, including product qualification and technical evaluations at customer sites.
• Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and customer strategies to support proactive account planning.
• Document and communicate customer insights, project progress, and technical learnings across internal teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in biology, biochemistry or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a sales or technical customer‑facing role, preferably within personal‑care or cosmetics.
• Proven ability to manage complex accounts, influence decision‑makers, and lead technical projects from concept to commercialization.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder‑management and problem‑solving abilities.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites and manufacturing locations as needed.
