Account Development Specialist – On‑Premise (San Francisco)

About the role

The Account Development Specialist is the sales lead for an assigned portfolio of on‑premise accounts in the San Francisco market. Reporting to the sales organization, you will drive revenue growth, increase market share, and execute brand activations that connect suppliers with consumers.

Key responsibilities

• Spend the majority of time (≈80%) in‑market to drive revenue and market share for the assigned portfolio.
• Act as the expert consultant for key supplier accounts, building strong relationships with gatekeepers and stakeholders.
• Research trends, categories, and portfolios to align with supplier goals and present new products.
• Plan and execute high‑end consumer activations and beverage menu development within key accounts.
• Provide real‑time market insights, field intelligence, and reporting for the territory.
• Collaborate with on‑premise and retail sales teams to create creative growth solutions.
• Develop and deliver training modules for sales teams, customers, and suppliers.
• Maintain merchandising objectives, conduct staff education, and participate in supplier sales calls.

Required profile

• Current associate of breakthru, applying through the internal Career Portal.
• Proven experience in on‑premise sales or account management, preferably within the beverage or consumer goods sector.
• Strong relationship‑building skills with an ability to act as a trusted advisor.
• Ability to analyze market data, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable plans.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
