Access Coordinator II – Patient Registration and Support

About the role

Join the Family Medical Center team in Batesville as an Access Coordinator II, providing exceptional customer service and supporting patients throughout registration and appointment processes.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary patient resource for all registration activities, maintaining accurate demographics, insurance, eligibility, and pharmacy information.
• Collect copays, coinsurance, and statement payments, and manage change fund reconciliation.
• Schedule, reschedule, and coordinate appointments using hospital systems, including pre‑registration and walk‑in processing.
• Verify insurance eligibility, explain benefits, request and file outside medical records, and create new patient charts.
• Maintain a clean waiting area, manage supplies, and handle mail delivery.

Required profile

• High School Diploma/GED with at least two years of customer service or healthcare experience.
• Strong communication, telephone etiquette, and ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to perform all duties of an Access Coordinator I and support patient care activities as needed.

Required skills

• Basic computer and keyboard proficiency.
• Experience with EPIC Systems.
