Access Controls Monitor (ACM) - Kennedy Space Center

About the role

Amentum is recruiting an Access Controls Monitor (ACM) for the COMET contract at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The contract manages ground systems, flight hardware processing and launch operations supporting the ISS, Ground Systems Development and Operations, and the Space Launch System, Orion and Launch Services programs. This is a workforce planning requisition, with candidates considered at all levels for contingent and funded openings. The position is hourly and overtime-eligible under the Service Contract Act.

Key responsibilities

• Serve at a fixed access control point and/or patrol on foot or by motor vehicle
• Control access to critical facilities and processing areas by positive identification of personnel and verification of required credentials
• Control access to hazardous operations through badge exchange to ensure accountability
• Notify First Responders and security management of emergencies
• Report violations of laws, regulations, policies or procedures
• Maintain daily security logs and complete Security Incident Reports
• Assist visitors and customers and perform other duties as assigned

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; previous customer service and/or security experience preferred
• Valid US driver's license
• Able to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Must be able to climb stairs, wear hearing and eye protection, and work on a hazardous testing facility with quick evacuation capability
• Ability to travel to and from the customer location, which may include airline travel
• Drug-free workplace compliance and possible future government security clearance
