About the role

Atlanta Technical College seeks a part‑time Academic Support Specialist to provide comprehensive academic assistance to students in General Education courses, focusing on gateway English and Mathematics classes. Working under the Dean of Academic Affairs, you will help improve student persistence, course completion, and overall achievement.

Key responsibilities

Provide individual and small‑group tutoring, supplemental instruction, and embedded classroom support.
Identify at‑risk students, develop individualized intervention strategies, and conduct workshops, seminars, and study sessions.
Collaborate with faculty, advisors, and student‑support staff to reinforce course competencies and track student outcomes.

Required profile

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
At least two years of directly related experience in academic support or tutoring.
Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Required skills

Familiarity with learning management systems and instructional technologies.
