Academic Advisor III

About the role

The Academic Advisor III provides comprehensive academic guidance to undergraduate students, helping them navigate degree requirements, develop educational plans, and achieve their academic goals. This full‑time, on‑campus position supports student success through personalized counseling and collaboration with faculty and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver one‑on‑one academic advising sessions to students across multiple majors.
• Assist students in creating and updating degree plans that align with university policies.
• Monitor student progress, identify at‑risk situations, and coordinate interventions.
• Maintain accurate advising records using the Workday system.
• Collaborate with faculty, department chairs, and support services to ensure cohesive student support.
• Participate in outreach events, workshops, and orientation programs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (advanced degree preferred).
• Demonstrated experience in academic advising or student services within higher education.
• Strong knowledge of university academic policies, registration processes, and degree requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Workday student information system.
