5th Grade Teacher

About the role

This position is for a full‑time 5th Grade Teacher on a ten‑month (198 days) temporary contract. The teacher will work 7.5 hours per day, from 7:45 AM to 3:15 PM, delivering instruction to a classroom of fifth‑grade students.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver daily lessons aligned with the district curriculum.
• Assess student learning through assignments, tests and observations.
• Maintain classroom discipline and create a supportive learning environment.
• Communicate student progress to parents and guardians.
• Collaborate with the principal and other staff members on school initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (minimum educational requirement).
• Eligibility to meet the specific requirements outlined in the job description.
• Ability to work the specified schedule of 7.5 hours per day.
• Commitment to a ten‑month temporary assignment.
