4-H Summer Intern – Educational Programs

About the role

The 4-H Intern will support faculty and staff in delivering educational programs and summer conferences for youth development. This 12‑week summer position offers hands‑on experience in event coordination, communications, and program support.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist 4‑H faculty and staff in planning and implementing educational events and activities.
  • Gather information, assemble materials, contact participants, and secure external support for events.
  • Prepare communications materials and support media relations for conferences.
  • Identify and develop value‑added processes or training tools to enhance program operations.

Required profile

  • Enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program with a minimum 2.5 GPA.
  • Completed freshman year by Summer 2027.
  • Strong organization, planning, oral and written communication skills.
  • Self‑directed, dependable, and able to work effectively in a team.
  • Not currently enrolled in the 4‑H program.

What we offer

  • Hourly compensation of $12.50.
  • Housing provided at the Arkansas 4‑H Center for a minimal weekly fee.
