About the role

The 4-H Intern will support faculty and staff in delivering educational programs and summer 4-H events, while gaining hands‑on experience in communications and event coordination.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist 4‑H faculty and staff in planning and implementing educational program events and activities.
  • Prepare communications materials, manage media relations, and support event logistics such as gathering information, assembling materials, and contacting participants.
  • Identify and develop value‑added processes or training tools that enhance current operations.
  • Participate in teaching, training, or program presentations as needed.

Required profile

  • Enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program with a minimum 2.5 GPA; must have completed freshman year by Summer 2027.
  • Strong organization, planning, oral and written communication skills, and ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Self‑directed, dependable, and motivated.
  • 4‑H experience is desirable but not required.
