2nd Grade Teacher

About the role

The school is seeking a dedicated 2nd Grade Teacher to deliver high‑quality instruction within the International Baccalaureate (IB) framework. The role involves collaborating with the IB coordinator and specialist teachers to ensure curriculum alignment and student success.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver lesson plans that meet IB and state standards.
• Develop units of inquiry and lessons in partnership with the IB coordinator.
• Support other teachers in implementing the established curriculum.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with parents.
• Utilise digital platforms such as Seesaw, iSams, and Google Workspace to enhance instruction.
• Assess student learning through formative and summative assessments.
• Monitor student behavior and safety across all school environments.
• Participate in meetings, professional development, and extracurricular activities.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of the IB curriculum, regulations, and learner profile.
• Ability to collaborate with instructional staff, parents, and school leadership.
• Commitment to the school’s vision, mission, and educational philosophy.
• Experience managing classroom behavior and safeguarding concerns.
