About the role
The NATO Young Professionals Programme (YPP) offers a three‑year, full‑time legal affairs track for early‑career professionals. You will rotate through three NATO bodies – the NATO Communications and Information Agency in Brussels, the Headquarters Supreme Allied Commander Transformation in Norfolk, and the Defence Innovation Accelerator for the North Atlantic in London – gaining hands‑on experience in a multinational security environment.
Key responsibilities
- Support the integration of legal considerations into NATO projects, tasks and programmes.
- Provide thorough, research‑based legal guidance on a wide range of issues.
- Assist in drafting, reviewing and interpreting legal documents and agreements.
- Collaborate with senior legal officers to ensure compliance with NATO statutes and international law.
Required profile
- National of a NATO member state.
- Master’s degree (or equivalent) in law or a related field.
- Minimum of one year of relevant professional experience.
- Strong analytical and research abilities.
