Workers Compensation Claims Specialist I – North East Region

About the role

Zurich is seeking a Workers Compensation Claims Specialist I to serve the Northeast region. The role can be performed in a hybrid model from our Parsippany or Boston offices, or fully remotely from eligible states.

Key responsibilities

• Document claims files and update data in compliance with best practices for commercial line claims.
• Determine liability and coverage by analyzing facts, applicable law, and policy terms.
• Develop case strategies, set timely reserves, and manage the claims cycle within authority limits.
• Assess damages, negotiate settlements, and ensure timely resolution of claims.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of claims or insurance experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must obtain and maintain required adjuster license(s).
• Experience with Microsoft Office and knowledge of insurance regulations, markets and products.
