Wireless Research Engineer

About the role

Join Bosch's Wireless Sensor and Embedded Systems group to drive applied research on next‑generation communication and sensing systems. You will design intelligent wireless solutions that combine advanced signal processing with AI/ML, and prototype them in software and hardware.

Key responsibilities

• Drive applied research in next‑generation communication and sensing systems.
• Design and develop innovative wireless solutions focused on signal processing and AI/ML.
• Implement proof‑of‑concept prototypes in software.
• Conduct performance analysis, feasibility studies, simulations, and experiments.
• Monitor state‑of‑the‑art developments in academia, industry, and standards (e.g., ZigBee, Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth, UWB).
• Present results to management and stakeholders.
• Publish research as patents and conference/journal papers.

Required profile

• PhD in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience in wireless communication, signal processing, and machine learning.
• Familiarity with wireless sensing techniques such as RSSI, ToF, CSI, and CIR.
• Knowledge of wireless standards (IEEE 802.11x, 802.15.4, BLE).

Required skills

• Strong C programming.
• Python programming and machine‑learning libraries/tools.
• Embedded programming (preferred).
• Wireless communication and RF sensing expertise.

What we offer

• Base salary range $140,000 – $160,000 per year.
