Wireless Systems Research Intern

About the role

The Bosch Wireless Sensor and Embedded Systems research group is seeking a graduate‑level intern to contribute to product‑oriented research on intelligent wireless solutions. You will work on AI/ML‑enabled sensing systems, develop proof‑of‑concept prototypes, and help publish research outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop innovative wireless solutions with a focus on AI/ML.
• Implement embedded software prototypes to demonstrate concepts.
• Conduct performance analysis and feasibility studies using simulations, experiments, and analytical modeling.
• Contribute to requirements specification and algorithm/protocol development.
• Publish research results in patents and conference/journal papers.

Required profile

• MS student in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Strong interest in practical implementation of wireless sensing systems.
• Availability for a 3‑6 month internship.

Required skills

• Wireless communication.
• Signal processing.
• Machine learning.
• Experience with TensorFlow or similar ML libraries.
• Strong C and Python programming; embedded programming experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of data augmentation, synthetic data generation, GANs, and transfer learning (preferred).
