Wireless Research Engineer – AI & Signal Processing

About the role

Join Bosch's Wireless Sensor and Embedded Systems group as a Wireless Research Engineer. You will drive applied research on next‑generation communication and sensing systems, creating intelligent wireless solutions that combine advanced signal processing with AI/ML.

Key responsibilities

• Lead research and development of innovative wireless AI and sensing technologies.
• Design and prototype intelligent wireless solutions with a focus on signal processing and machine learning.
• Develop software prototypes and conduct performance analysis through simulations, experiments, and analytical modeling.
• Monitor state‑of‑the‑art developments in academia, industry, and standards bodies (e.g., ZigBee, Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth, UWB).
• Present findings to management and cross‑functional teams.
• Publish research outcomes as patents, conference papers, or journal articles.

Required profile

• PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong background in wireless communication, signal processing, and machine learning.
• Experience with wireless sensing techniques such as RSSI, ToF, CSI, and CIR.
• Familiarity with wireless standards (IEEE 802.11x, 802.15.4, BLE).
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a multicultural environment.
