Windows System Administrator (SA) 2 with Poly

About the role

Amentum is seeking a Windows System Administrator for a new prime contract based out of its Maryland office. The role covers the implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems, including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for client/server/storage/network devices and mobile devices. It is a Tier I (Help Desk) and Tier II (escalation) support position.

Key responsibilities

• Manage IT system infrastructure and related processes, and provide Tier I and Tier II support for client/server/storage/network devices and mobile devices.
• Configure and manage mostly Windows operating systems, install and load OS software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity and configure network components, and implement OS enhancements for reliability and performance.
• Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning.
• Provide in-depth troubleshooting, escalate issues to management and give detailed analysis and feedback on escalated tickets.
• Assist users in accessing and using IT systems and support the dispatch system and hardware problems.

Required profile

• TS/SCI Poly clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university; alternatively, four additional years of SA experience may substitute for a total of 14 years.
• At least ten years of experience as a System Administrator on programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity.
• DoD 8570.01-M compliance with a minimum IAM Level I certification.
