Windows System Administrator (SA) 2 w/ Poly

About the role

Amentum is seeking a Windows System Administrator (SA) for a new prime contract based out of its Maryland office. The role covers the implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems, including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for client/server/storage/network devices and mobile devices, with Tier I (help desk) and Tier II (escalation) support.

Key responsibilities

• Manage IT system infrastructure and related processes, and provide Tier I and Tier II support for problem identification, diagnosis and resolution.
• Communicate escalated issues and status to agency management and internal customers, and give detailed analysis and feedback on escalated tickets.
• Configure and manage UNIX and Windows (mostly Windows) operating systems, install and load OS software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity, configure network components and implement OS enhancements for reliability and performance.
• Manage daily configuration and operation of IT systems, help users access and use them, and optimize system operations and resource utilization through capacity analysis and planning.
• Support the dispatch system and hardware problems and stay involved in their resolution.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, IT Engineering or a related field; alternatively, 4 years of additional SA experience may substitute for a total of 14 years of experience.
• 10 years of experience as a SA on programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity.
• TS/SCI Poly clearance required.
• DoD 8570.01-M compliance with a minimum IAM Level I certification.
