Wind Turbine Technician

About the role

ACCIONA Energía is seeking a Wind Turbine Technician to join its skilled maintenance team in Texas. The role focuses on assembling, testing, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on wind turbine generators and related equipment while adhering to strict safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on wind turbines to ensure optimal performance.
• Conduct safety analyses and follow industry regulations and established protocols.
• Document all maintenance activities accurately to track turbine performance and trends.
• Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all safety procedures.
• Support root‑cause analyses for equipment failures.
• Collaborate with engineers and field teams to improve turbine reliability and efficiency.

Required profile

• Hands‑on problem solver comfortable in fast‑paced environments with strong technical aptitude.
• Experience using hand and power tools and ability to work independently with high attention to detail.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lb and climbing 300‑ft ladders; comfortable working outdoors in varying conditions.
• High school diploma or equivalent, valid driver’s license, and ability to obtain a U.S. passport.
• Certification in medium‑ and high‑voltage equipment is preferred.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

• Base pay $28 – $38 (based on experience, education, and skillset) plus on‑call pay.
• 5% annual performance bonus and 5% availability bonus.
