About the role
This role is based at Philips’ Latham, New York facility where magnetic resonance imaging magnets are manufactured. As a 2nd‑shift welder you will produce high‑quality TIG and MIG welds and work with precision instruments on cryogenic‑grade assemblies.
Key responsibilities
- Perform TIG and MIG welding, including vacuum‑tight aluminum welds.
- Cut, bend, drill, and tap components to fabricate intricate cryogenic assemblies.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and supporting documentation.
- Operate bridge cranes and forklift trucks and sign off completed work.
Required profile
- Minimum 1 year of welding experience with mechanical assembly tools.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to work the 2nd‑shift schedule (3:20 pm‑11:30 pm) and reside within commuting distance of Latham, NY.
- U.S. work authorization.
