Water Restoration Technician

About the role

The Water Restoration Technician monitors, inspects and completes water restoration jobs, ensuring proper drying, demolition and related activities. The role involves direct interaction with customers to explain processes and secure insurance reimbursement.

Key responsibilities

• Retrieve work orders, load required equipment, and travel to job sites.
• Perform water damage repair including extraction, pack‑out, demolition and light construction.
• Adjust drying plans based on meter readings and document progress with photos and notes.
• Inspect completed jobs, obtain customer signatures, and request payment when needed.
• Report equipment issues and maintain proper handling of supplies and vehicles.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
• Good verbal and written communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines and work in physically demanding conditions.

Required skills

• Operation of water extraction and drying equipment.
• Use of mobile software for data entry and documentation.
• Reading and following product label usage instructions.
