Warehouse Supervisor

About the role

Short Story is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to lead teams within our fulfillment center in South San Francisco. Your mission is to build a well‑oiled, customer‑centric operation that delivers high‑quality service.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure the warehouse operates at peak efficiency by supervising, organizing, directing, and training employees.
• Develop and refine warehouse operations systems, including product handling, storage requirements, equipment utilization, and inventory management.
• Review workflow, space, and equipment layout to meet productivity, quality, and customer‑service standards.
• Inspire, develop, and support direct reports and associates, connecting the team to the company vision.
• Manage labor planning to meet weekly goals and adjust staffing as needed.
• Oversee outbound shipping, returns processing, new inventory receipt, and overall support functions.

Required profile

• Four‑year degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 3+ years of experience leading large teams in a fast‑moving environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) or G Suite (Google Sheets, Docs, Slides).
• Eligibility to work in the United States and ability to work onsite full‑time.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and an entrepreneurial mindset.
