Warehouse Material Handler - 2nd Shift

About the role

Saputo, a top 10 global dairy processor, is hiring a Warehouse Material Handler for its 2nd shift in Franklin. The handler loads, unloads, prepares and moves materials, stacks finished product in the right places and performs material handling tasks as assigned.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain compliance with company policies, including GMP, SOP, HACCP, SSOP and H&S.
• Load and unload materials and product from trucks.
• Rotate inventory, keep accurate inventories and records, and maintain internal and external warehouse inventories and supplies.
• Transport materials and product between storage, work sites and designated areas.
• Complete shipping and receiving records, tagging and documentation.
• Use and coordinate warehouse racking and space efficiently.
• Read production worksheets, keep work areas clean and organized, and attend safety and departmental meetings.
• Box and palletize according to instructions, with accurate counts and proper identification.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Working knowledge of production and plant processes.
• Ability to work scheduled hours and required overtime.
• Reliability, honesty, respect, attention to detail and punctuality.
• Self-motivated, able to multi-task and work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to food safety, quality and customer satisfaction.
• Ability to work in a noisy, temperature-changing manufacturing environment, standing, walking, bending and climbing stairs, and to lift up to 40 lbs unassisted frequently.
• Experience working with chemicals, wearing PPE and following approved chemical handling procedures.

Required skills

• Basic analytical and numerical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division across units of measurement.
• Effective communication.
• Knowledge of safety methods and procedures.
