Warehouse Leadhand - 3rd Shift

About the role

Saputo is hiring a Warehouse Lead for its new 340,000-square-foot conversion facility in Franklin, Wisconsin, as part of its strategy to optimize its cheese network in North America. The lead supports and coordinates warehouse and shipping activities on assigned shifts, including customer orders, shipments, receiving and problem resolution, while supporting company policies and CI processes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a shift of team members and coordinate shipping and warehouse operations, including schedules, loading and material handling.
• Perform product inventory, confirm quantities and locations, and report variances.
• Train new and current employees, document training progress and gaps, and monitor and support employee schedules and backfilling.
• Recommend improvements to reduce cost and increase productivity while meeting Sales to Service goals.
• Complete required SAP transactions and documentation, maintain time and shipping records, prepare reports and resolve work problems.
• Keep work areas clean and organized, coordinate product rework, and support other departments.
• Perform backup duties as a warehouse driver and shipping clerk when needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Experience following safety, security, sanitation and quality policies and procedures.
• Lift truck certification or ability to obtain it (Powered Industrial Trucks).
• Ability to adapt to change, handle multiple tasks and work in a noisy, variable manufacturing environment, including lifting up to 40 lbs frequently.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• SAP is a plus.
