VP, Front Office Technology - ION

About the role

Join Santander’s Front Office Technology ION team as a Vice President responsible for the design, development, implementation and maintenance of trading systems that support Fixed Income businesses. You will work closely with traders and business analysts to translate requirements into reliable, high‑performance solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and maintain trading applications and related infrastructure.
• Evaluate, schedule and resource development projects aligned with business needs.
• Produce detailed system documentation, technical plans and design specifications.
• Own the on‑premises ION infrastructure, including platform upgrades and performance tuning.
• Analyze business requirements, implement solutions, and ensure seamless integration of vendor platforms.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Extensive experience in development, support or business analysis within capital markets (Fixed Income, Equities, Securitized Products).
• Strong background with ION Fixed Income environment and related technologies.
• Proven ability to resolve complex technical issues under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills and the capacity to manage competing priorities.
