Visiting Assistant or Associate Teaching Professor

About the role

The School of Architecture at Northeastern University seeks full‑time or 2/3 full‑time Visiting Assistant or Associate Teaching Professors to support undergraduate and graduate programs in Architecture and Landscape Architecture.

Key responsibilities

• Teach two to three courses each semester (4‑6 courses per academic year) across design studios, workshops, seminars, and lectures.
• Contribute to the School’s cultural life through committee service, special projects, student advising, and engagement activities.

Required profile

• Terminal degree in the relevant field (PhD for historians, Master’s for design, professional practice, or building technology).
• Demonstrated ability to teach at both undergraduate and graduate levels and a well‑developed research or creative practice agenda.

Required skills

• Expertise in architectural or landscape history, building technology, urban and landscape design, or professional practice.
• Ability to integrate professional, academic, and creative experiences into coursework.
