Video Editor – Media Production

About the role

The Video Editor will join the Media Production department of It Is Written, creating and refining video, audio, and digital content that supports the mission of the Seventh‑day Adventist Church. This full‑time position works closely with the Producer and other team members to deliver high‑quality streaming and on‑demand media.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day editing of assigned video, audio, and digital programs.
• Create and edit streaming media and on‑demand content for broadcast, websites, apps, and social platforms.
• Serve as both engineer and editor, handling motion graphics and sound design.
• Develop digital summaries and maintain post‑production processes including mastering, captioning, archiving, and cataloging.
• Collaborate with the Producer to ensure all output follows It Is Written branding guidelines.
• Assist with camera operation or directing during production when needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma required; a bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
• Three to five years of professional experience in creative media, either agency or organizational.
• Member in good standing of the Seventh‑day Adventist Church and alignment with its mission and values.
• Self‑starter capable of managing multiple projects, meeting tight deadlines, and adapting to urgent requests.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Apple Final Cut Pro, Motion, and Compressor or DaVinci Resolve.
• Experience using Affinity Photo and Affinity Designer.
• Solid knowledge of both production and post‑production workflows.
