About the role

Servier is a Boston‑based biopharmaceutical company focused on advancing science and serving underserved therapeutic areas. The Vice President, US Legal leads a best‑in‑class legal function, advising senior leadership on strategic and tactical initiatives while partnering with compliance, ethics, and global legal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Provide timely, relevant, and practical legal advice to senior leadership, balancing legal, ethical, and business considerations.
• Partner with the US Head of Ethics and Compliance to develop and implement a US Legal strategy aligned with core business objectives.
• Oversee a 13‑person Legal team, driving its evolution and fostering employee development.
• Develop a vision for a future‑fit legal function that leverages technology.
• Participate as a senior US Legal representative on cross‑functional teams and committees.
• Support key regulatory areas including marketing, pricing, labeling, and related strategies.
• Proactively identify legal risks and opportunities associated with business‑critical activities.
• Oversee corporate compliance, HR policies, accounting standards, and intercompany agreements.
• Advise on US litigation strategies and manage related matters.
• Coordinate with Global legal on litigation, IP, contracting, corporate governance, and integration activities.
• Maintain collaboration with Legal, Privacy, Ethics, and Compliance leaders on risk management, policies, training, and investigations.
• Manage outside counsel usage efficiently and oversee the US Legal department budget.

Required profile

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school with an active license to practice law.
• 15+ years of legal pharmaceutical industry experience counseling life‑sciences clients.
• Direct leadership and team‑management experience overseeing legal teams in a dynamic environment.
• Exceptional time‑management and written/oral communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
• Proven ability to assess situations and provide effective resolution options.

• Salary range $300,000‑$358,000 plus short‑term and long‑term incentive programs.
