Vice President of Operations

About the role

Join a leading telecommunications infrastructure company as the Vice President of Operations for the Western Region. Based in Mesa, AZ, you will provide executive leadership over multi‑state network construction projects across California, Nevada, and Utah, driving strategic growth and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic plans for the Western Region, aligning with corporate objectives.
• Manage full profit‑and‑loss accountability for a $25M+ business unit.
• Lead a regional team of approximately 40 employees, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and performance.
• Oversee project execution, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and customer requirements.
• Drive business development initiatives, cultivating relationships with carriers, utilities, and municipalities.
• Monitor financial performance, including Percentage‑of‑Completion (POC) and Work‑in‑Progress (WIP) accounting.

Required profile

• 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in telecommunications infrastructure, underground utility, or heavy civil construction.
• 7+ years managing multi‑market operations with full P&L responsibility.
• Proven track record of delivering large‑scale construction projects on time and within budget.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills.

Required skills

• Deep understanding of Percentage‑of‑Completion (POC) and Work‑in‑Progress (WIP) accounting principles.
